How is Hydrotopia being powered?

HydroTopia will use

Tidal Energy

& Solar Power

What is Tidal Energy?

Tidal power is a form of hydropower that converts the energy from the natural rise and fall of tides into electricity.

Tidal electricity can be created from servel technologies.

How will Tidal Energy Operate in Hydrotopia

We will have tidal turbines that will sit on the bottom of the seabed. The waves will spin the turbines to create energy. The energy goes into the generator which creates electricity for homes. Ocean waves produce more energy than airwaves because ocean water is 832 times thicker than air causing a greater force on the tidal turbines.

Why did Hydrotopia choose Tidal Energy?

Tidal power is easy to install which makes it easier for our engineers, not only is it simple to install it is also a renewable energy source causing it to last forever. It has a low environmental impact which is safer for Hydrotopia, causing it to become environmentally friendly. The Ocean Patterns are well understood, tidal energy is a predictable energy source making it Highly attractive for electrical grid management.

What are some problems Hydrotopia might face when using Tidal Energy

A major problem when it comes to tidal power is the cost. Tidal Energy may sound convenient but, the cost is extremely high.

Hydrotopia still plans on tackling this problem. Depending on the tidal technologies' cities use, depends on the different amounts of costs, Hydrotopia will be powered by tidal turbines which aren't the cheapest tidal technologies. We will aim to overcome the negatives by paying little by little.

How will Solar Power Operate in Hydrotopia?

Hydrotopia will be using Solar Panels, how this will operate is people will have clear roll on solar panels which will be on windows and roofs.

How do Solar Panels work?

What are solar panels?

a panel designed to absorb the sun's rays as a source of energy for generating electricity or heating.

How the solar panels will work is the sun shines on the solar panels and the panels then absorb the energy, creating direct current electricity. The sun heats up the panels creating electricity.

How is Hydrotopia using Tidal & Solar energy more differently in the future?

Mority of the areas and countries in the world don't use tidal energy because, of all the problems and troubles caused when using this energy source. By 100 years, countries in the world may start using tidal energy but at the moment it is still a new energy source.

at this age of time, countries use solar panels on the roofs of houses. In HydroTopia we plan on using clear solar panels rolled on the widows of our housing.

How are these Power Sources Eco-Friendly?

HydroTopia hopes to provide a safe and strong energy source, along with that HydroTopia needs to keep the environment clean

The Solar Panels are Eco-friendly because, we do not need to keep on replacing them and if they break it will not release liquid gas or fossil fuel

Eco-friendly. The Tidal Turbines are because, they are similar to the tidal turbines , we don't need to replace the solar panels and also they don't release gas or fossil fuel making it safe for the environment

Tidal Turbines

Tidal Barrages are the most efficient tidal energy sources. A tidal barrage is a dam that idolises the potential energy generated by the change of height between high and low tides. This energy turns the turbine or compresses air which in turn creates electricity.

Tidal Fences are turbines that operate like a giant turnstile. A turnstile is a form of gate which allows one person to pass one at a time. Where in a Tidal fence, turnstiles are similar only underwater

Tidal Turbines are similar to wind turbines, only underwater. Electricity is generated when a mechanical energy of tidal current turns turbines connected to a generator. The genertaor proudes elecrity.
